Endocrines secreting sex and death
an agent of the summit
is afraid to waste his last remaining breath
but I am none the wiser
to the nature
of my need to feel
oppressed, indeed, I've gone out of my way
to get excited over this marauder
swaying in our midst

But they and I
have not been introduced
to one another's fists
so don't pretend to be ecstatic
for It's fleeting
like Priscilla
there, inside some hollow tree,
that smells of gasoline

How many ways can a man pontificate?

Myself, I am accustom to this image from the grave
but still
I wish I'd never gotten off the train
Maladies and trinkets to revere these pending flaws
tossing all my dreams and outlets to the dogs

Stumbling through the setbacks
of all manners unfulfilled
swinging madly to the rhythm of a thrill
streaks of self-destruction
pay no mind to introduction
when the patron
isn't holding any pills

What incisions have I made
and am I destined to recede
can I perpetuate my ego
in the precinct of a dream
tucked away in fascination
peering out between the knees
I'm an archetype of madness
in the dim glow of the eve
